Dinorwig Quarry in the Snowdonia National Park

The Dinorwig Quarry located near Llanberis, Wales, UK, was at one time the second largest slate mine in the world, It is immense coveing 700 acres. The setting, the Snowdonia National Park, makes for a wonderful photographic site. The ruins of old buildings tell the story of a once great mine.
